DESCRIPTION
Common Names: Peacock Plant
Maximum Height: 0.6 m – 0.7 m
Perfect for indoor use, Calathea plants are popular because they are generally easy to care for and look wonderful with their large green leaves with interesting markings and typically purplish undersides to liven up any space.
PLANT CARE
Light: Calatheas does best with bright, indirect lighting. Excessive direct sun will burn the leaves and fade the foliage colours.
Water: Water moderately and mist occasionally. If your water is heavily fluoridated, or full of other sorts of chemicals, the leaves will burn and turn brown. Recommended to water using distilled water or rainwater.
Fertilizing: Calathea do not need a lot of fertilizing but will be beneficial during initial growth or when flowering, using high nitrogen fertilizer.
