- Common Names: Caladium, Angel Wings, Elephant Ears
Maximum Height: 0.7 m
Caladiums are tropical perennials that have almost unparalleled foliage and make showy houseplants. Caladiums do flower into spathes or spikes and by trimming away any as soon as they appear ensures the foliage remains more striking as a whole.
The ‘Miss Muffet’ variety has lime green leaves, speckled pink which are lined with dark pink to cream white veins. It is also more tolerant to the sun as opposed to most caladiums.
Light: Grows best in bright indirect sunlight.
Water: Make sure to water once soil is dry to the touch. Water every once or twice weekly to keep the soil evenly moist, but not soggy. Mist to control the humidity of the location.
Fertilizing: Fertilize the Caladium weekly with liquid fertilizer or use slow-release pellets.
