Light: Prefers bright shade for good growth — avoid exposing to full sun.
Water: Place in a high humidity location. Finely mist the foliage once a week and soak fully for an hour monthly before drying fully. Brown tips shows possible under-watering, or the surrounding humidity is too low.
Fertilizing: Not necessarily needed to be fertilized. Fertilize them by misting once per month with a bromeliad or orchid fertilizer diluted in water, at half the recommended dosage.
